Born into a floor covering family, Cathy has familiarity with most every aspect of the industry. Her own career spans over 30 years, with skills honed through working in the wholesale or technical realms of flooring. Excelling in space planning and innovative solutions she became the consultant to movie studios and set designers. Moving to the central coast nearly 20 years ago, Cathy chose retail sales and design for a more personal touch. With a Smith College degree in ethics and sociology, Cathy brings professionalism, creativity, and vast knowledge to every project. Her meticulous attention to detail combined with an enthusiastic and thoughtful approach transform the search for new flooring into a uniquely rewarding experience.

With the addition of Lorraine Conlen to our team, we mark our entry into the world of kitchen & bath. After many years working in horticulture, (with a degree from Cal Poly), Lorraine decided to come indoors, returning to school to study interior design. She passed the six hour kitchen design certification test put on by the NKBA – National Kitchen & Bath Association and has eight years of experience designing kitchens for many homes on the central coast, as well as bathrooms, offices, entertainment centers, & craft rooms. With the many accessories now available for cabinetry, there is no need to ever get on your hands and knees again to see what is at the back of your cabinets. Come see!

Kris has been on the Central Coast since 1984, when she earned her Bachelor of Science in interior design at Cal Poly. She has more than 20 years experience in residential interior design, with the last eleven years spent specializing in Kitchen & Bath design. She is Certified as a Kitchen, Bath and Interior designer and is currently on the Board for the Central Coast and Valleys Chapter of the National Kitchen & Bath Association. Kris works on projects of all sizes and can create beautiful cabinetry for any room, including offices, home theaters and other built-ins. She spends her free time knitting, practicing yoga and enjoying her family.

With over seven years experience working as an integral member of the Phillips design team, Sandy has a keen design sense and vast knowledge when it comes to natural stone, slab and solid surface counter tops. Sandy is passionate about working with people. When it comes to customer service, flexibility, reliability and expert advise, Sandy is ready to tackle any challenge.

Born in Canada and raised in Texas, Terry and her family have been Central Coast Residents since 2003. She earned a Bachelor of Science in interior design from The University of Texas at Austin. She has experience in residential and commercial design. Terry will use her design sense to effectively coordinate colors and materials for your project. She enjoys being active with her children's academics at Arroyo Grande High School and Shell Beach Elementary School. Terry is a member of the Central Coast Interior Designers and enjoys playing tennis for fun.

Originally from Southern California, Dave moved to the Central Coast in 1981. With over 20 years of experience working on the Phillips Floor To Ceiling design team, Dave has extensive knowledge of all floor coverings and countertop products. Dave works with builders, developers, and contractors to establish residential programs, product specifications, and on-site design centers to help homebuyers choose the right products for their home.
In his off hours, Dave enjoys spending time with his family, and music.
"Top Cat"

This street-tough cat "hangs" out in the neighborhood and doesn't have a true home, but he has adopted us and we spoil him with food and attention. He is a young male and his nighttime wanderings caught up with him as he limped in with a badly injured foot and swollen cheek wound. With a united team effort at the warehouse, Top Cat was treated and nursed back to health. He tries to pay us back by catching a mouse every now and then.
We thank Arroyo Grande Veterinary Clinic for their help with mending and neutering Top Cat.
